The French fishing channel
For those who are not familiar - the French take really good care of themselves. They even got a kind of Youtube in terms of sport fishing - fishing-tv.fr. For us bass lovers there is many relevant material on there. You can think of lure and gear introductions, (video)reports of bass fishing competitions, etc. Definitely give yourself some time to sit back and enjoy all the movies, whether you...

Ranking the lures!
As we mentioned in 2011 several lists appear on the internet regarding the best bass fishing lures of 2011. We made you an overview from several European countries. As can you see we’re still missing a couple of (essential) countries. So if you know a few more lists (UK or US for example) please send us an e-mail and we’ll update the list. France: Peche au bar Freestyle fishing The Netherlands...

Protecting the Dutch Bass?
The Dutch angling organization (Sportvisserij Nederland) is developing a vision to protect the Dutch bass by law. For the future this could mean that there is no room anymore for large-scale commercial fishing and possibly a baglimit for the angler. For inspiration they’re looking carefully at other similar (and successful) initiatives like, for example, Ireland. Nowadays it is no secret that...

2012, a year of new challenges
Now a new year has begun and the bass season 2011 is really over, we can start dreaming about the 2012 season. What will it bring us? We’ve already booked various (inter-)national bass related trips and we undoubtedly will add a few more as the season is progressing. Trips are not only about new fishing grounds but they are also about meeting like-minds. Meeting new people is always leading...

Wolfbarsch by Robert Staigis
‘Wolfsbarsch’ (Bass) is the title of a new German book about bass fishing, written by bass fishing specialist Robert Staigis (the man behind the German website Wolfbarsch.com). All his expierences - shore, boat and kayak fishing - are now published in a 208 page, and pretty good looking (hardcover) book. We’ve heard they are talking about a Dutch and English version…

The Jumprize Rowdy 130F
While surfing the internet we ran into a new japanese masterpiece - the Rowdy 130F by Jumprize. This lure was developed by Yuki Inoue, world record holder blackfin seabass and bass fishing expert. At first sight, the lure its finishing looks great and with its 60-130cm range it could become a nice addition to the widely respected Megabass Zonk 120. We will definately try to get our hands on...

Bass Fishing the Dutch 'Las Vegas'
2011 was my first year exploring the bass fishing opportunities in the Europoort region (Rotterdam harbour), one of the worlds largest industrial ports. A truly bizar world and a very different setting we’re are used to as bass fishermen.
The world’s largest ships literally glide in front of you 24 hours a day. If you are, just like I was, a complete stranger to these surroundings please...

The Ima (Salt) Skimmer
For me, there has been no topwater lure as successful as the Ima (Salt) Skimmer has been these last two seasons. With its 14 gram and 110 mm it has a modest appearance, but as you know appearances are deceiving. Because of its extremely slim shape and effective positioned weights it casts fantastic. Furthermore, the Ima Skimmer is a versatile topwater lure.
You can fast retrieve the...

The Amazing DUO TideMinnow 75s
It is small but please do not under estimate. Because of the ‘power-weight system’ it throws like a rocket. The mini lure comes with a jaw-dropping action. A perfect lure for the early season.
You can jerk, twitch, fast retrieve, the lure does it all. And besides all that it handles the strong current perfectly.
Amazing to see what kind of species we already caught on this lure....
